Clinical Supervision in North Carolina for Associate Level Clinical Social Workers

African American Clinical Supervisor
Clinical Supervision in North Carolina

I am an NASW-NC Certified Clinical Supervisor. If you are an Associate seeking clinical supervision toward your LCSW licensure with the NCSWCLB, please schedule a consultation to discuss my approach to supporting your professional growth.

Much of my growth as a therapist can be attributed to the mentorship and education I have received from clinical supervisors.  I believe that supervision and consultation should always be a part of a clinician's therapeutic practice. I am committed to contributing to the field of behavioral health by sharing the wisdom, skills, and information I have learned and continue to learn with newer clinicians. My approach to clinical supervision is collaborative, educational, and supportive.

Since earning my Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005, I have worked in urban, rural, and suburban environments. Settings, where I have worked, include community mental health with children, adults, and families, adult and pediatric hospitals, an outpatient perinatal clinic, a maternal and fetal medicine unit, university-based addiction research centers, and child welfare organizations. In each of these settings, I have worked with substance use as a presenting problem, along with other mental health concerns.  I have also worked extensively with the perinatal population, including pregnant and parenting mothers with substance use concerns.
